The FernUni Switzerland stands for completely online university courses and is accredited according to the HFKG. It combines flexible, location-independent distance learning part-time with an active, interdisciplinary research culture at Campus Brig. In five faculties – Law, Psychology, Economics, History and Mathematics & Computer Science – we have been shaping modern teaching, learning and research for over 30 years and count over 2,700 students and around 550 employees.
To strengthen our service Services and Alumni we are looking for a dedicated personality as:

Do you want to actively shape alumni work, promote projects independently and make a difference for the university? For the expansion of our alumni work, we are looking for a committed personality who leads projects independently from the idea to the implementation and develops and continues the alumni work together with the management of the service.
Their tasks
- Operational implementation of the alumni\ strategy in coordination with the management of the service
- Management of projects from conception to implementation to evaluation
- Establishment and maintenance of relationships with alumni as well as maintenance and further development of the alumni\ database
- Design, organisation, implementation and further development of measures and innovative formats for the active retention and involvement of alumnae and alumni, the promotion of knowledge transfer and the strengthening of added value for alumni and universities
- Identification and activation of relevant alumnae and alumni for projects and collaborations
- Collection, maintenance and evaluation of relevant data as well as monitoring and evaluation of measures to verify the achievement of targets and for reporting
- Promoting a culture of giving back (“giving”) and alumnae and alumni’s commitment to the higher education community
- Further development of processes, instruments and communication measures in alumni work
- Interdisciplinary cooperation within the service, with other services and with the faculties
Your profile
- Completed higher education at master's level
- Several years of professional experience, ideally in a university environment, in alumni work or in project management
- Strong project management and organizational competence as well as an independent, structured and cooperative working method
- Conceptual skills and pleasure in developing and implementing new formats and measures
- Secure handling of data, digital tools and contact management systems as well as experience in collecting and evaluating personal data and measuring success
- Enjoy building and maintaining sustainable relationships and networks as well as developing an active alumni community
- Engaged personality with pleasure in interdisciplinary cooperation and different stakeholders
- German at native level as well as very good knowledge of German, good knowledge of English advantageous
