Since 1929, the Foundation Pro Senectute Valais-Wallis has been committed to the quality of life of older people with the aim of maintaining their independence and representing their interests. For this purpose, the foundation has a wide range of services in the fields of social consulting, socio-cultural animation and sports.
To complement our team, we are looking for immediately or by agreement:
a social worker 60-80% ##
For social advice and mandate management
Place of work: Oberwallis (Brig, Visp and Susten)
Your tasks: ###
- Voluntary advice to persons of AHV age and their relatives on topics such as finance, administration, housing, health, lifestyle and law
- Developing financial entitlements and support (social insurance, individual financial assistance)
- Assistance on behalf of KESB
- Advice, support or representation of the persons concerned in legal, administrative, financial and personal matters, including income and asset management
- Cooperation with internal and external specialist bodies
- Preparation of reports, statements and requests for KESB
- Processing of clarification orders on behalf of KESB
Your profile: ###
- Completed studies in social work at a university or university of applied sciences
- Interest in working with older people and the challenges involved
- Interdisciplinary and networked thinking, high degree of independence
- German mother tongue and good French skills
- Willingness to carry out administrative work, organisational capacity and ability to work independently, at best with practical experience in social counselling or in support
- Driving license and personal car for home visits
