In this role, you contribute directly to providing a warm, fluid and personalized experience to a local and international clientele. You are evolving in a human-sized environment where attention to detail, quality of service and authenticity are essential.

Description of post

As Chief of Rank, you ensure the setting up, service and withdrawal of breakfast, snack and aperitif according to the needs of the operation. You welcome every customer with professionalism and naturalness, adapt your level of attention to their expectations and make sure to anticipate their needs without ever being invasive. You present products and drinks accurately and ensure attentive, fluid and personalized service.

You take orders, service hot and cold drinks, watch out at the buffet restock and maintain impeccable tables and guest areas throughout the service. You are also responsible for following up on different spaces such as coffee machine, Honesty bars, lounge, lounge or kiosk, paying particular attention to presentation, product rotation and restocking. You strictly apply information about allergies and diets and immediately alert your hierarchy in case of doubt or particular situation.

You develop an excellent knowledge of the offer in order to be able to advise customers accurately and naturally. You know the drinks offered, the local products and the peculiarities of the house and are able to present wines and other premium products in a professional way. You also know how to identify opportunities to offer a complementary experience or product, always with subtlety and without forced sale. At the end of the service, you will ensure a clear, oral and written delivery of specific client requests, allergies, possible ruptures, incidents or issues that remain to be addressed.

Profile sought

You have a confirmed experience in hotel service, neat catering or in a high-end establishment. You master the fundamentals of service, of setting up as well as the service of hot and cold drinks. At ease in a demanding environment, you know how to simultaneously manage customer requests, restocking, space maintenance and various service tasks.

Your sense of contact and customer orientation allow you to offer a personalized and attentive experience. You are an autonomous, versatile, organized and rigorous person, able to remain calm and precise during periods of high activity. You enjoy teamwork and naturally collaborate with the kitchen, concierge, housekeeping and management to ensure a consistent experience for every customer.

You have a perfect command of French and English and a real commercial sense, allowing you to advise with elegance and professionalism. A good knowledge of Swiss wines, Valais products and the local offer is an asset, as is a knowledge of Val d'Hérens and its main attractions. Discreet and respectful of confidentiality, you adopt in all circumstances a presentation and attitude at the height of a high-end establishment.

We offer a 60% position in a hotel house with a human size, located in an exceptional setting in the heart of Évolène. You will evolve in an environment where quality of service, simplicity, authenticity and attention to each customer are central to the experience.

The shift offers varied hours according to the needs of the operation, with possible services in the morning, in the day or in the evening, as well as on weekends and holidays.
