- Managing the Research Group Horticulture Extension from the technical and administrative point of view (organization, finances, staff) and taking on the general responsibility of guiding activities based on the needs of practice and scientific excellence of the group
- Take on the general responsibility and the role of the main contact person for questions and practical research related to open-field horticulture at Agroscope; in charge of the development and management of interdisciplinary projects with representatives of interested Agroscope divisions and external partners

- PhD in agricultural sciences with specialization in plant/orticulture production (or similar training) and proven research experience in these sectors, ideally in practice-oriented projects involving more actors
- Experience in practice or in similar productive sectors
- Wide professional network in the field of plant and vegetable production and solid knowledge of the framework conditions of Swiss plant production
- Spiccate leadership skills, strong team spirit and convincing communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of two official languages and oral and written English
