• as We are building the handling of motor vehicle damage from scratch: Instead of digitizing existing processes, we are designing a new solution that focuses on AI. This is productive pioneering work – the system should be the future of our claims processing.We are building a new, powerful team, which is part of Claims Analytics within the Competence Center Data & AI of AXA Switzerland. As one of the first engineers, you shape the project from the beginning. AXA is not just insurance. Around 600 software and system developers work on the Swiss square and develop the technology of tomorrow in-house. We also collaborate in global teams and networks.We shape and integrate the latest tools, organize hackathons and our agile product teams run self-organized and are self-responsible from A to Z. • You share responsibility for the new Agentic AI system, from architecture to productive operation Design, implement, operate and monitor robust, LLM-based pipelines in the cloud (GCP)
• You work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders, translating between both worlds and transforming requirements into working, reliable AI systems. In doing so, you actively contribute your own perspective
• As an AI Engineering Lead, you are a sparring partner, initiator and technical conscience of the team, always with an open ear for ideas and the courage to question assumptions.
• You do not move on familiar paths, but work in the construction of a fundamentally new damage processing with Your skills and talents
• AI Engineering: You are familiar with productive AI systems and their operation. You have practical experience with Agentic AI, RAG and Context Engineering. You know where language models fail and have strategies to deal with them. We require solid software engineering principles.
• Tech Stack: Python and its libraries (e.g. LangChain) are your everyday life. You build APIs, orchestrate workflows, and connect AI components to existing systems. Experience with GCP (especially Vertex AI & Cloud Run), MLOps, CI/CD or container technologies is an advantage. System & Architecture Thinking: You design the overall architecture and think beyond individual components. You always make decisions taking into account latency, costs, security and maintainability. You know when an agentic approach is the right solution and when a simpler component is enough.
• Working method: You work proactively, independently and withstand ambiguity. The path is not given to you – you find it by tackling, testing and correcting hypotheses. Mistakes are not a problem as long as you learn from them and adjust the course.
• Tech Lead: You set the technical direction, give impulses and make decisions. At the same time, you get involved and leave room for ideas from the team, because you know: Technical leadership does not mean having all the answers, but to find the best one together. Domain knowledge: Experience in insurance (especially in claims processing) is a plus. If you are outside of the industry, you bring with you the will to delve deep into the processes – because the best solutions arise when the problem is really understood.
