The Cantonal Police of Zurich and its approximately 4,000 employees assume responsibility for security in the canton. In order to strengthen our IT department in Zurich, we are looking for a committed and competent personality in the area of data centers and operational control systems as: IT System Engineer/in (temporary until 30.06.2029) 80 - 100% Your responsibilities:

• Operation and further development of highly available ICT systems such as data center basic systems, mission control system, image system or even voice system in the mission-critical area
• Identify, consolidate and translate user requirements into feasible technical concepts
• Implementation of projects (planning, engineering, implementation)
• Steering and coordinating cooperation with our partners and service providers, both in day-to-day operations and in projects
• Maintenance and further development of technical documentation Your profile:
• Completed degree in computer science (FH) or equivalent education
• Good knowledge of client/server systems, secure handling of associated administration technologies (e.g. OS, virtualization software, monitoring, backup, IAM, etc.)
• Experience in the cloud environment
• Skills in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
• Containers and Kubernetes are not foreign words for you
• Stylistic German and good English skills
• Independence, teamwork and confidentiality
