Professional profile
the researched figure will have the role to define and implement the strategy of SalutAI from the invention to the marketing of the product on the market, leading to the development of products and technology in the various stages. The CEO will manage financial policies and relations with investors. It will be a point of reference for the creation of the team and responsible for the partnerships in Switzerland and Europe, will manage the business relations and will represent the company towards investors, institutions/clinical hospitals, regulatory authorities and public institutions.
Mansions
- guides the business strategy, defines the annual vision and business plans, builds and guides executive and R&D teams at every stage of the design process; it plays the role of Product Manager for SalutAI products
- guides the roadmap and product architecture, including AI models and data from devices or physiological sensors
- guides the product by checking the applicable laws (Switzerland, EU MDR and US FDA) and is responsible for supervision until clinical validation
- develop and manage patent strategy in biosensing, signal processing and health data analysis
- responsible for the creation of the qualified team in Ticino, the coordination of financial internal processes, governance, compliance and HR, the verification of short/medium/long term financial plans, the main point for investors
- responsible for the establishment of collaborations with hospitals in Switzerland and Europe, local and clinical research institutes, insurance and health equipment manufacturers
- ensure the compliance of products with the regulations of LPD and GDPR and the use of AI and health data
Requirements
- PhD (Ph.D) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Strictly Related Training
- degree of study in AI in the health sector obtained from universities/institutions of relevance and avant-garde, then integrated with a practical experience in applying AI to health data
- at least 15 years of experience (also in start-ups or as founder) as CEO or CTO of international technology companies, with at least 10 years of experience leading healthcare and medical devices
- M&A/Business Development/Governance background
- proven and consolidated practical experience in the field of non-invasive physiological detection, health monitoring through wearable devices and multisensory optical biosensors (including arterial pressure, respiratory frequency and heart rate), with also use of AI models, research and development in the field of medical devices, semiconductors and EDA software
- multiannual experience in the invention of healthy technologies, through the stages of R&D, regulatory compliance, up to the marketing of the product
- multiannual experience in the field of patent regulations, licensing, intellectual property laws in Swiss regulatory contexts, EU and US FDA. Specific knowledge of LPD and GDPR is required
- enhanced experience in establishing and guiding a team of multinational engineers, with particular reference to start-up companies and operating in the field of medical and healthcare AI
