Description Competitions for the appointment or assignment of officials in the State Administration 76/26 2026 April 27 Department of Finance and Economy 66/26 Scientific Associate I or Scientific Associate II, part-time (80%) - full-time (100%) at the Section of Agriculture, Agricultural Controls Service, Bellinzona Class and annual salary (including 13th month's pay): 10 88'633.-- / 141'990.-- or Scientific Associate II 9 83'633.-- / 133'310.-- ## Duties - As head of the external team he/she will have to coordinate, organize, plan and control the activities of the Service of Agricultural Controls (SCA - apply the procedures and requirements of ISO 17020, preserving the impartiality and independence of the control activities of the SCA - ensure the proper conduct of organizational, technical, financial and legal processes, procedures and aspects - ensure, in cooperation with the Office of Agricultural Data Management and other mandated Administration services, a coordination of the controls to be carried out on farms - cooperate with other federal, cantonal municipalities and private managers of quality or origin labels - conduct inspections for problematic cases by coordinating with principals - participate in committees and working groups in the area of inspections - update and refine inspection procedures ## Requirements - university education (bachelor's + master's or bachelor's degree) or equivalent qualifications with proven experience in agronomy or agricultural sciences (notably agronomic engineer SUP or ETH/EPFL) - knowledge of the standards and ISO system inherent to formal recognition of competence (accreditation) - good knowledge of federal and cantonal legislation in the agricultural field and of the guidelines related to public and private Swiss quality labels in the agricultural sector - very good knowledge of the Ticino region and its agricultural in particular of animal husbandry - excellent knowledge of at least a second official language (spoken and written) in addition to Italian - good drafting, organizational and management skills of human and financial resources - experience in coordinating activities may be an asset - ability in managing computer programs (word, excel, databases, GIS, etc.) - spirit of initiative and collaboration as well as adaptability and autonomy ## Special remarks - the position of scientific collaborator I (class 10) may only be awarded to candidates with full academic qualifications: University Licentiate, Bachelor's Degree, Bachelor's Degree + Consecutive University Master's Degree or University of Applied Sciences School (Bachelor's Degree + Master's Degree 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field - the function of Scientific Associate II (Class 9) will be awarded to candidates/ae who possess only a Bachelor's Degree or a Bachelor's Degree or candidates/ae who have less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and who possess full academic qualifications: University License, Bachelor's Degree, University Consecutive Master's Degree, or University of Applied Sciences (Bachelor's Degree + Master's Degree 270/300 ECTS credits) ## Application Conditions - applications must be submitted online.
