Biologist/responsible for Clinical Chemistry Service - Ausschreibung L’EOC, the multisite Ticino hospital, is present with its institutes on the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1’000 beds. The organization allows to effectively combine local approach and overall vision, ensuring the population a global and proximity hospital offer, regardless of where the services are required. Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 employees and their attention to the human relationship, the EOC ensures quality health care by taking care of over 41, 000 patients who are deceased a year and providing over 600,000 outpatients. The Institute of Integrated Diagnostics of Italian Switzerland (IDISI) brings together the Clinics of radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology and laboratory medicine and, with its approximately 600 collaborators and almost 4 million exams and analyses performed each year, offers a comprehensive and high-quality diagnostic service, responding to the needs of patients resident throughout the cantonal territory. Overcoming traditional specialist barriers, IDISI adopts a multidisciplinary approach to favor more efficient and personalized diagnostic-therapeutic paths, capable of responding to the specific needs of each patient. In addition, the Institute is oriented towards university education and promoting biomedical research. The Laboratory Medicine Clinic offers comprehensive analysis services on biological samples whose results can support diagnosis and disease monitoring. Most of the more than 3 million tests carried out each year are carried out on human, environmental and veterinary biological samples. To complete the organization of the Laboratory Medicine Clinic of the Institute of Integrated Diagnostics of Italian Switzerland we look for a(a) Biologist/responsible for the Clinical Chemistry Service (80-100%)
- Profile: The Biologist/Responsible for the Clinical Chemistry Service will work mainly in Bellinzona, with availability to serve also at other cantonal offices (Lugano, Mendrisio, Locarno), according to the needs of the Service. Working hours: mainly daytime hours, from Monday to Friday, with possibility of extraordinary according to the needs of the Service. The Biologist/Responsible for Clinical Chemistry Service actively contributes to the development of strategies of the Laboratory Medicine Clinic and IDISI and identifies and transmits the vision and values of the EOC. He is responsible for the scientific and specialist presence of clinical chemistry and promotes the evolution of diagnostic methods and laboratory technologies, ensuring high quality standards, analytical reliability and innovation in support of clinical and diagnostic activity. He/she supports and implements local and transversal and technical-scientific projects
