Lugano Librarian University Library / or specialised in electronic resources E-resources librarian 80% The University of Italian Switzerland (USI) is a young and agile reality in continuous development, launched to new challenges in the sign of its three guiding values: quality, openness and responsibility. Active in different areas of study and research, USI offers its students a training as protagonists, engaging and interdisciplinary, and its researchers and collaborators a privileged area of autonomy and freedom of initiative. The Libraries of USI (BiUSI) organize documentary materials (monographs, periodicals, electronic media etc.) for the Università della Svizzera italiana, responding to study, research and information purposes. To complete the USI Library team, with tasks that cover both the information needs of the Lugano University Library (BUL) and the Library of the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture (BAAM), the USI opens a position of Library/or specialised in electronic resources - E-resources librarian (80%) Location

• BiUSI electronic resource activation in Alma: Collection activation, portfolio import from Network Zone, local portfolio creation in Collection, standalone portfolio creation
• Periodic verifications of electronic resource activations based on the Title lists provided by publishers or the Swiss University Library Consortium (CSAL)
• Periodic checks of local or remote resource accessibility
• Processing of access statistics and use of electronic resources: CSAL data processing; finding statistics at publishers; processing, execution and maintenance of an automatic recovery plan of SUSHI format statistics
• Care of electronic collections; evaluation and selection of new resources for BUL and BAAM; processing of industry development proposals.
• Participation on behalf of the USI to groups of experts at national level
• Management of ordinary library tasks in collaboration with colleagues.
• Participation in reception desk shifts and loans page 2 / 3 Profile, skills and professional experience
• SUP specialist title in information and documentation, or training or experience considered equivalent
• Good level computer knowledge, in particular in the management and processing of statistical data. A minimum Excel knowledge is required higher than basic functions. Preferably work experience with COUNTER or SUSHI standards.
• Accuracy, precision, rigour, reliability, ability to respect timing
• Ability to work in group and contribute to the good functioning of the service
• Good knowledge of both Italian and English are indispensable
• Prepared for autonomous work and constant learning, with the synthesis capacity of complex documents and the production of quantitative and qualitative reports relating to electronic publications
• Good knowledge of current IT tools in the PC environment Equal conditions will be given preference to Swiss or domiciled candidates/citizens in Switzerland. • Entry into service: as soon as possible
• Undetermined (after appropriate test period)
• Working time: 80%, to be divided between the two locations
• Initial contribution: according to CCL and to be convented according to profile and experience (starting from class 6, min CHF 65'325 / max CHF 90'932 to class 8, min CHF 80'400 / max 111'917)
