Chronic pain cannot be treated every minute. Would you like to use your experience in interventional pain medicine, accompany patients in the long term and help shape an established field in the future? The pain medicine is part of a medium-sized cantonal hospital and has a well-frequented outpatient consultation. In a team of two to three pain specialists, you look after people with chronic pain on an outpatient and consiliar basis in the inpatient departments. At the same time, you are involved in a larger anesthesiological department with several experienced cadre doctors. Depending on the agreed activity model, you also work in the anesthesiological company and participate in the service system. The spectrum includes, among others, surgical anesthesia and obstetrics. The situation also offers various possibilities: The location is easily accessible from southern Germany and is suitable both for a move to Switzerland and for a cross-border worker model. The region connects short distances with a high leisure value between Rhine, vineyards and Lake Constance.

Their tasks

• Independent care of patients in the outpatient pain consultation session as well as long-term support for chronic pain syndromes
• Implementation of invasive pain therapy procedures including implantation and follow-up of neurostimulation systems
• Development of interdisciplinary and integrated treatment concepts
• Depending on the activity model, participation in anesthesiology and participation in the service system
• Professional support of younger colleagues and participation in the future orientation of pain medicine

Your Competences

• Specialist title Anesthesiology, Federal or MEBEKO recognized
• Demonstrated qualification in interventional pain therapy or advanced practical experience in this field
• Routine in invasive procedures or interest in further expanding the existing spectrum
• Joy of long-term accompaniment of people with chronic pain
• Open and respectful personality with an interest in interdisciplinary cooperation and additional professional responsibility
