Profile
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a similar field of study
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and network operation, ideally in complex international environments
- Proven leadership experience of global or multi-regional teams as well as in the management of external partners and service providers
- Well-founded knowledge in WAN/SD WAN architectures, firewall and perimeter security services as well as large enterprise networks with more than 10,000 users
- Deep technical understanding of network security architectures,
Routing & Switching, highly available networks, cloud and hybrid connectivity solutions - Good knowledge of service management frameworks (e.g.
ITIL) and a structured, pragmatic and service-oriented work style - Expressed communication and stakeholder management skills at technical and management level in an international environment
Tasks
- Overall responsibility for the operation, governance and continuous development of global network services (WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewalls and perimeter security)
- Technical and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of a global network team and external service provider
- Ensuring highly available, secure and efficient network operation in the 24/7 environment
- Control and monitoring of external service providers including SLA, KPI, contract and cost management
- Responsibility for incident, problem, change and service management processes
ITIL Best Practices - Close collaboration with cyber security, architecture and infrastructure teams to implement security and compliance requirements - Contributing to global network strategy and implementing modernisation initiatives such as SD-WAN, cloud connectivity and network automation
