PROFILE

Requirements

• Completed training (HTL, FH, Uni) towards mechanical engineering / mechanics
• Good knowledge of current CAD system, preferably Catia V5 in the areas of solid modeling (even surface modeling)
• Experience in the rail vehicle industry is an advantage
• Curiosity and motivation to incorporate this future-oriented field
• Up to 10% willingness to travel for findings of accidental rail vehicles
• Very good knowledge of German and English (B2) in word and writing
• Short-term and flexible resilience with changing project input (number and distance of accidents cannot be planned).
• High operational readiness
• Structuring work even in complex, interdisciplinary situations
• You want to put the theory into practice, partially supervise the implementation and see the final results live

Desirable

• Training/training as an international welding engineer (IWE), international welding technician (IWT) or international welding specialist (IWS) desirable/advantageous

TASKS

• Responsible for technically correct design, technical coordination and development of mechanical, welding, partly structural assemblies in the area of car body repairs (DIN EN 15085-6).
• Preparation of welding feasibility studies, concepts and repair instructions.
• Close cooperation with production, calculation, purchasing and project management
• Responsible specialist and interface between mechanical engineering and project management during the entire repair projects.
• Constant cross-location exchange with specialists and colleagues
• Developing (new solutions) / Creating (existing solutions), constructing production-ready solutions / repairing structural damage to car bodies
• Findings of accidental railway vehicles at home and abroad
