Full description
Artificial intelligence is changing public administration sustainably. In order to make the potential of AI usable in a targeted manner, well-founded analyses, structured assessments and an overview of existing solutions in the market are required. As a working student, you support us in investigating the AI maturity of cantons and municipalities, in analysing relevant applications and in gaining valuable insights for the further development of our offer. You will work at the interface of research, market analysis and digitalization and gain exciting insights into the digital transformation of the public sector. For our locations in St. Gallen, Zurich Airport or Bern, we are looking for a committed personality as a working student by appointment: in market analysis public administration & AI monitoring temporarily for a period of 3 months. Your role
- Research and definition of relevant criteria for assessing the AI implementation status in cantons and municipalities (e.g. technological, organisational, legal and financial aspects)
- Development of a structured evaluation model (e.g. scorecard or evaluation matrix) for systematic data collection and evaluation
- Analysis of studies, technical reports, media contributions and public documents, such as digitalization strategies of cantons or AI guidelines of the federal government
- Conducting interviews and short surveys with managers from administration and the public sector (e.g. IT managers or digitization officers)
- Identification, analysis and evaluation of existing AI solutions in the management environment, in particular: Generative AI assistants (e.g. chatbots, knowledge and document assistants) as well as AI functions within established software solutions (e.g. Abacus, CMI)
- Structured preparation and evaluation of the collected data using tables, visualizations and dashboards
- Segmentation of cantons and municipalities based on their AI maturity and identification of development potential
- Creation of decision-making bases and management reports for internal stakeholders
Your profile
- Ongoing Master's degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration with a focus on Digitalization/IT or a comparable degree programme
- Experience in data analysis (e.g. with Excel, Python, R or similar tools)
- Knowledge of market research and analysis (e.g. conducting surveys, evaluating secondary data)
- Basic knowledge in artificial intelligence and its applications in the public sector
- Basic understanding of Swiss administrative structures (cantons, municipalities)
- Negotiable knowledge of German (at least level C1) in word and writing
