We create perspectives for people in a responsible life outside of crime and thus make an important contribution to a safe society. The Office for the Imprisonment of Justice of the Department of Security and Justice employs around 260 people in various professional fields. Saxerriet is an open prison for men with a total of 135 seats. It has differentiated implementation concepts and a wide range of workplaces.

What to expect

• They provide practical guidance to the instructed persons in the areas of internal building cleaning (property care) and laundry and promote their professional and personal development
• Together with your team, you ensure the value-preserving, clean condition of the in-house buildings as well as timely and impeccable textile care.
• In the absence of the housekeeper, you take over his deputy. They monitor the technical installations, carry out minor repairs and maintenance work independently and ensure the operational readiness of the infrastructure
• They use the daily work processes in the household sector as a learning field in order to strengthen the independence, personal responsibility and reliability of the instructed persons with a view to their reintegration.
• You plan and structure the work processes in the cleaning and laundry efficiently

What sets it apart

• You have completed craft, technical or domestic training (EFZ)
• Good technical knowledge in the field of building technology and maintenance as well as craftsmanship for repair and maintenance work
• They have a high level of social skills, assertiveness and empathy
• They meet people at eye level and bring with them the necessary sensitivity for working in the prison system
• They keep an overview even in lively situations
• You have already worked with people in special situations
• You are a team capable and committed personality with a high sense of service
• You have the driving license Cat. B
• You are at least 30 years old
