We create perspectives for people in a responsible life outside of crime and thus make an important contribution to a safe society. The Office for the Imprisonment of Justice of the Department of Security and Justice employs around 260 people in various professional fields. The Platanenhof Youth Home supports young people and young adults admitted to civil and criminal proceedings according to socio-pedagogical principles and concepts. With the young people, new social, educational and professional development perspectives are developed in a closed or open framework.

What to expect

• Development and professional implementation of the pilot project Painting: active co-creation of concept, work processes, learning objectives, checklists and internal proof of competence
• Planning and implementation of simple painting, maintenance and renovation work in the interior and area of the youth home as well as external orders
• Providing basic professional skills such as punctuality, order, care, endurance, tool and material care, handling criticism and completing a work
• Ensuring quality, occupational safety, health protection and professional cleaning, storage and disposal in the painting sector

What sets it apart

• Completed vocational training as a painter with sound professional experience
• Experience in the plaster or renovation area is welcome
• Vocational training course, experience with learners or further training in employment/social education are beneficial
• Readiness for further development in Agogik is expected
• Professionally strong, resilient personality that combines craftsmanship with pleasure at work with young people
• Strong and appreciative personality with a clear attitude, patience, humor, assertiveness and a good sense of closeness and distance
