The Office for Municipalities and Civil Rights is the competence center for municipal issues. It supervises administrative and budgetary management, civil status and land accounting. It carries out the cantonal financial compensation, carries out the common finance statistics and accompanies community structural projects. It also provides services to individuals in the areas of civil rights, name changes, adoptions, registration of foreign civil status events and land acquisition by persons abroad.

What to expect

• Together with your co-management, you lead the civil status department with seven employees in terms of personnel, organization and expertise.
• You ensure a procedurally correct execution of civil status tasks
• As a professional contact person, you support and accompany employees in everyday work
• You process cases of the department and make civil registrations
• You supervise the civil status system in the canton and are responsible for the education and training of persons working in the civil status system
• You lead or accompany projects and support the administration in matters of civil status

What distinguishes you

• Swiss Federal Professional Card as civil status officer, preferably with additional legal training
• Sound professional experience in civil status
• Good knowledge of administrative procedure law
• Leadership experience is beneficial
• Very good oral and written expression in German
