The Office for Economic Affairs and Labour provides a wide range of services for companies, employees and job seekers. The cantonal unemployment fund (ALK) with around 70 employees clarifies the entitlement to unemployment insurance benefits, pays benefits, advises employers on short-time work and bad weather compensation and supports companies in personnel measures and bankruptcies.

What to expect

• Telephonic customer advice: service-oriented and professional answers to inquiries about ALK’s insurance services and, if necessary, triage to the relevant department
• Processing of documents certifying periods of insurance in the framework of the implementation of the Free Movement Agreement Switzerland – EU/EFTA
• Back office activities (distribution of physical and electronic mail, management of cafeteria and meeting rooms, material orders, etc.)

What sets it apart

• Basic commercial training
• Several years of professional experience in customer service activities with turntable function
• High load capacity, especially in demanding telephone conversations
• Good user knowledge of the common MS-Office range
• Good oral and written expression
• Preferably foreign language skills
