Role overview
Mission The Institutional Affairs Unit supports the EPFL Presidency in the national and international positioning of the School, contributing to its development and the promotion of its interests.

- Establish and manage a central institutional contact point within the Institutional Affairs Unit, in close collaboration with the Vice-President for Innovation and Impact and Mediacom.
- To define and optimize standardized processes to facilitate the access of researchers to support and resources.
Main responsibilities
- Establish and manage a central institutional contact point within the Institutional Affairs Unit, in close collaboration with the Vice-President for Innovation and Impact and Mediacom.
- To define and optimize standardized processes to facilitate the access of researchers to support and resources.
- To maintain a dynamic mapping of the political actors and experts involved in the "public science-policy" initiatives, in order to facilitate interaction and collaboration.
- To contribute to the EPFL Impact strategy by coordinating and structuring feedback, experience.
- Strengthening the transfer of knowledge to policies by developing the internal capacities of EPFL
- Based on a follow-up of federal and cantonal political developments, offer targeted support to the academic community for the valorisation of its research.
- This includes the provision of contextual information, the preparation of reports in coordination with the relevant actors at EPFL (centres, faculties, vice-presidents).
- Organize in-house training and workshops in collaboration with Mediacom to develop the capacities of the EPFL community to actively engage in dialogue with political actors.
- Promote exchanges between EPFL's academic community and political actors by supporting networking
- Facilitate regular and structured exchanges between academic experts and political decision-makers, including through meetings, seminars, and thematic events.

- This position aims to support efforts to develop and apply academic knowledge in the field of public policy (science-) at national level, highlighting its expertise and contributing to the Impact Strategy 2020-2028, particularly in the framework of Axis 5 "Strengthening commitment to politics and diplomacy" Main tasks and responsibilities Establish an interface between EPFL's academic community and political actors
