The building construction office represents the canton as landowner in all real estate transactions and assumes the role of building owner for cantonal construction projects. The responsible departments Planning, Construction and Management are responsible for the planning, realization of new buildings, conversions and renovations, for building maintenance (maintenance and repair) as well as for the entire building operation (technical, infrastructural, digital and commercial building management). The Planning department is also responsible for the strategic management of the real estate portfolio and develops sustainable, economical and needs-based solutions for public infrastructure. For the Planning department, we are looking for a real estate manager or real estate developer, 80-100%, immediately or by agreement at the Solothurn location.

Your responsibility

• They shape and control the real estate strategy of the canton and develop the cantonal real estate portfolio in a demand-oriented, use-oriented and economically sustainable manner.
• On the basis of the real estate strategy, you derive concrete measures for sub-portfolios and individual properties and ensure their targeted and successful implementation.
• For political and administrative decision makers, you will develop well-founded decision bases, in particular concepts, utility analyses, profitability calculations and the necessary formal documents.
• They handle real estate transactions independently and accompany them professionally in rental, property law, economic and strategic issues.
• In the SIA phases 0 to 3 (from initialization to project planning or pre-project) you support our projects conceptually and in terms of content and represent the interests of the canton competently and convincingly.

Your profile

• You have a completed degree in architecture (ETH/FH) or a comparable education as well as a further education in the real estate sector, for example MSc Business (with real estate reference), MAS Real Estate, MAS Real Estate Management, M.Sc. Real Estate.
• Many years of experience in real estate management and real estate development bring you as well as knowledge of public construction and planning.
• In-depth knowledge in commercial building management as well as in public procurement law, contract law, property law and rental law distinguish you.
• Very independent, structured and agile work combines you with strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• They communicate securely, negotiate skillfully and bring very good ICT knowledge as well as experience with SAP applications in the field of commercial building management.
