The police canton of Solothurn guarantees a high level of security for the people in the canton of Solothurn - competent day and night. It operates an independent ICT infrastructure with an extensive range of highly available systems and applications. For the command department, we are looking for immediately or by agreement at the Solothurn location a department manager in service desk/support and ICT service management, 80-100%.

Your responsibility

• As head of the service desk/support and ICT service management department, you bear the personnel, professional and organizational responsibility for an economic, customer-oriented and high-quality service operation.
• They control and develop the company-wide ICT service management, are responsible for the configuration and continuous development of the ICT service management tool, define and optimize service management processes and ensure their uniform implementation as well as compliance with standards and quality specifications.
• In this function, you control and optimize the service operation and, if necessary, initiate suitable improvement measures to ensure a continuous improvement process.
• In addition to monitoring the quality of service as well as compliance with agreed service levels, her responsibilities also include coordinating escalation management in the event of critical disruptions.
• Her tasks include the management of overall and sub-projects in accordance with the HERMES project management method, the representation of the department in cross-organisational projects and the coordination of cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile

• For this position, you will bring a completed computer science education with higher vocational training or a comparable qualification, preferably in business informatics, service management, project or process management.
• Several years of professional and managerial experience in ICT service management, operation and support of ICT systems, application management and management of ICT projects and procurement projects are required.
• Pronounced independence, a structured and solution-oriented way of working as well as the willingness to take responsibility and actively promote the continuous optimization of processes and services with a continuous improvement mentality are what sets you apart.
