About Solothurner Spitäler AG The Psychiatric Services (PD) with around 450 employees are responsible for the extended basic care of the psychiatric care system in the entire canton. In addition to emergency and crisis centres, a comprehensive range of clarification, therapy and counselling services is available through the clinics for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics (KPPP) and through the children and youths of the psyiatry (KJP). The treatment is tailored to the individual needs of the patients and is performed outpatiently, day-to-day or inpatiently.
The PD also covers forensic psychiatry in the canton and cooperates in teaching and research with the universities of Bern and Basel.
