In the canton of Solothurn, the Migration Office is responsible for foreigners and asylum law issues as well as for identity documents of Swiss nationals. For the Department of Asylum and Return, we are looking for a department manager at the Solothurn location, Stv. Department Management, 80-100%.

Your responsibility

• They bear the overall responsibility of the Asylum Department, which currently consists of four staff members. In addition to personnel management, this includes the control and further development of the process flows, the professional, financial and political responsibility for the department as well as its statistics and indicators.
• You will also take over the legal support and procedural management of the entire Asylum and Return department and act as CO deputy of the department management.
• A central part of your area of responsibility is the examination of applications for a hardship permit in the area of asylum. In the area of the future of status S, you will design, implement or implement processes.
• In addition to administrative activities, you carry out extensive investigations at other authorities, institutions or via embassies abroad. interviews and write demanding correspondence.
• They shall grant legal hearings and issue orders to those concerned. Furthermore, you conduct the cases through all instances and write consultations to the courts.
• Observing and tracking legal developments in migration law is just as much a part of your tasks as answering internal and external inquiries, political initiatives, consultations and consultations on changes to regulations and laws.

Your profile

• In addition to a legal education (lic. iur./Master), you have management experience or would like to acquire it.
• Furthermore, you have professional experience in the field of migration law or in public administration.
