The Office for Economic Affairs and Labour of the Canton of Solothurn provides a wide range of services in the areas of regional employment centres, public unemployment fund, working conditions, energy and climate as well as location promotion. For the Services department, we are looking for a team leader in finance and controlling, 80-100%, as of 01.11.2026 or by agreement at the Solothurn location.

Your responsibility

• A well-established team of 6 people awaits you, who will lead you in personnel, professional and organizational terms.
• They are responsible for finance, controlling, budgeting and financial planning in various funded areas, taking into account the legal requirements and ensuring the use of economic resources in the cantonal, federal and mixed financed areas.
• Your tasks also include advising the heads of office and department on financial and business issues as well as developing well-founded decision-making principles, analyses, economic forecasts and periodic reporting.
• Together with your team, you will further develop the AWA’s management and controlling instruments, especially in the areas of resource planning, key figures and statistics, cost-effectiveness and cost analysis as well as internal control system (ICS).
• You take over the deputy management of Services and work in higher-level projects and working groups.

Your profile

• They hold a tertiary degree in business administration, accounting/controlling or equivalent education.
• As a managerial, change-experienced, motivating personality, you bring a high degree of appreciation and several years of leadership experience.
• You can have several years of professional experience in finance and accounting / budget and planning processes / financial analysis and reporting.
• Further own You have knowledge of administrative accounting as well as Swiss accounting rules and the Financial Budget Regulation.
• Very good user knowledge of the financial application SAP (FI and CO) as well as MS-Office round off your professional profile.
