The Cantonal Hospital Obwalden is an innovative, versatile primary care hospital in central Switzerland with the clinics general, accident and visceral surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, spinal surgery, gynecology and obstetrics as well as anesthesia.
For our social counselling we are looking for 1. December 2026 or by agreement one or more
Social worker/in FH/HFS (a) 40 % Their tasks
- Accompaniment of patients and their social environment through targeted support and counselling processes in cooperation with the treatment teams
- Accompanying the process of patient removal and transfer
- Advice on sick, accidental and social security issues
- Advice and organisation of spa, rehabilitation or nursing home stays
- Networking of patients with various counselling centres
- Responsibility for the complete documentation of ongoing cases including keeping of statistics
- Participation in interdisciplinary meetings and reports
Your profile
- Diploma of a recognised technical college or higher technical school in the field of social work
- Empathy and a differentiated self- and external perception
- Ability to apply social worker methodological knowledge in the field of order clarification, discussion, situation analysis and intervention
- Ability to establish a trusting cooperation with patients and to work goal-oriented and solution-oriented
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation
- Safe handling of electronic work equipment and files
- Teamwork, resilience and flexibility
- Interest in occupational and health policy issues and developments
- Collaboration in the creation of concepts, working groups and projects within the organization
