Main responsibilities
- Independent implementation and organisation of the Institute’s central autoclaving and sterilisation service and maintenance of laboratory glassware
- Maintenance of laboratory infrastructure and general equipment maintenance, including inspection and maintenance of laboratory equipment and machinery and ordering of laboratory materials

- Responsible for chemicals and equipment inventory
- Laboratory safety support (biosafety level 1 and 2) and logistics and quality management assistance (ESF and SAMV concept) and chemical safety support
- Ensuring operational hygiene in laboratory areas (including disposal logistics and handling of biological and chemical laboratory waste)
- Support for administrative tasks in laboratory operations as well as maintenance of SOPs and laboratory documentation
- Assistance in the training of new laboratory staff, including briefings on safety and biosecurity regulations and laboratory tour Requirements
- Completed training as a laboratory EFZ or comparable training as well as experience in the academic environment (university research laboratory)
- Several years of professional experience, ideally in an academic research environment
- Experience in the operation of autocalves as well as in biological and chemical disposal logistics
