Psarellis Head of Special Therapies Tel: +41 (0)32 627 16 08 The Psychiatric Services (PD), with around 450 employees, are responsible for extended basic psychiatric care throughout the canton.
In addition to the emergency and crisis centers, a comprehensive range of assessment, therapy and advice is available from the clinics for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics and from child and adolescent psychiatry.
The treatment is tailored to the individual needs of the patient and takes place on an outpatient, day clinic or inpatient basis.
The psychiatric services also cover forensic psychiatry in the canton.
The Psychiatric Services are a teaching and research hospital at the University of Basel.
