- The purpose of the guest professorship is to hold courses on topics of Islamic theology and/or education, taking into account the cultural, religious and ideologically plural context of European societies of the present.
- The lecture program comprises 6 SWS: a lecture (2 SWS) for listeners:in all faculties at the University of Zurich (UZH), a seminar or exercise (2 SWS) at the UZH and another seminar or exercise (if necessary with the same content) at the Swiss Center for Islam and Society (SZIG) at the University of Freiburg.

Main responsibilities
- The purpose of the guest professorship is to hold courses on topics of Islamic theology and/or education, taking into account the cultural, religious and ideologically plural context of European societies of the present.
- The lecture program comprises 6 SWS: a lecture (2 SWS) for listeners:in all faculties at the University of Zurich (UZH), a seminar or exercise (2 SWS) at the UZH and another seminar or exercise (if necessary with the same content) at the Swiss Center for Islam and Society (SZIG) at the University of Freiburg.
- The courses can be related to each other, interdisciplinary formats are possible or desired.
- As the concept of the guest professorship provides a broad public with a corresponding commitment, such as lectures in school classes and municipalities.
- The guest professorship is supported by an auxiliary assistance.
- Requirements: The university qualification (at least doctorate) is required, independent research activity and experience in universitary teaching as well as an interest in dialogue also outside the university.
