- Support business steering and monitoring by providing an independent, expert voice that helps business partners balance commercial strategy with sound risk management principles
- Assess portfolio strategies and business plans for risk accumulation, utilization of risk limits, risk trends and mitigants, and operational and monitoring effectiveness
- Represent Risk Management in Smart Circles and provide risk input to the L&H Re CRO on Market Unit business reviews
- Review inbound transactions , in-force optimization activities, external retrocessions, hedging solutions, and core innovation proposals (including distribution partnerships, product development, and sustainability initiatives) to support Risk Management's sign-off
- Provide expert opinion to ensure risk capital is set appropriately, key risks are identified, reflected, and mitigated, and that contractual terms safeguard prudent risk taking
- Lead and support costing assurance activities through participation in Insurance Risk Reviews and Terms of Trade Reviews
- Contribute to a comprehensive risk management framework , including proposing appropriate limits and ensuring transparent reporting of the risk landscape to a variety of stakeholders
- Support infrastructure and methodology improvements , including internal model vetting, risk capital and Risk Adjustment factor reviews, and governance of origination activities
- Investigate key risk issues and topics relevant to L&H business, such as extreme risk analysis, pandemic risk and monitoring, and L&H accumulations

- 5–8 years of experience in an Actuarial or Risk Management function, with demonstrated exposure to L&H reinsurance or insurance products and services
- Extensive technical and commercial knowledge of L&H business, including a solid understanding of key products, services, and market dynamics across Swiss Re and its competitors
- Undergraduate university degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline These are additional nice to haves:
