Role overview

We are looking for you as a Senior Cloud Network Engineer for our Cloud Access Team.

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the further development and operation of Migros’ cloud network platform.

Your focus is clearly on the cloud sector with the Techstack

Main responsibilities

  • Design, engineering and operation of the Cloud Landing Zone in Azure and GCP with a clear focus on networking & connectivity and scalable and secure platform services
  • Design and implementation of automated cloud network and platform services as well as further development of infrastructure-as-code standards (Terraform / Terragrunt) including their automation
  • Establishment and further development of cloud connectivity (VPC / VNet, routing, DNS, hybrid connectivity, zero trust) with focus on the cloud sector as well as ensuring observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) for platform services
  • Analysis and implementation of requirements from dev teams as well as continuous improvement of the developer experience incl.
  • Troubleshooting and performance optimization of cloud infrastructure
  • Close cooperation with other platform teams, security, architecture and external partners
  • Active contribution to architectural decisions as well as the development of standards and best practices in cloud networking
  • Takeover of 3rd-level support and pikett service (on call) Requirements
  • Several years of experience: as a cloud engineer / platform engineer / network engineer in enterprise environments
  • Completed studies (uni/ETH, FH, HF): in computer science or equivalent professional experience
