With SwissHealth Ventures, our corporate venture capital fund, we are investing in innovative digital health solutions and creating synergies with CSS’s core business. Our portfolio currently comprises 12 start-ups and 2 venture funds in various phases of development. As head of SwissHealth Ventures, you will manage the fund’s strategy and everyday life, continue to expand our ecosystem and work closely with the management.

This is what your everyday life looks like

• You control the entire investment process from deal sourcing to due diligence, deal structuring, valuation, negotiations to closing.
• For this purpose, you will take over the professional and personnel management of the 3-member team of SwissHealth Ventures.
• In the digital health ecosystem, you will expand the existing network of founders, investors, clinics, universities and other, including international partners, actively nurturing it and thus ensuring a high-quality deal flow.
• Together with internal specialist areas, such as product development, performance management or purchasing, you will tap into synergy potential between the portfolio company and CSS.
• You are responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the fund and the individual investments incl. Reporting and KPI control, both financially and strategically.
• With transparent communication, you keep the management, board of directors and other committees informed about the deal pipeline and portfolio development.
• You provide suitable governance, decision-making and reporting structures.
• You coordinate the strategic orientation of SwissHealth Ventures with the overall strategy of CSS and shape it in close cooperation with the management and board of directors.

You bring that with you

• You have several years of in-depth experience in venture capital, corporate venture capital or private equity and have ideally already led teams or interdisciplinary projects with high strategic relevance.
• With Digital Health you are familiar and have gained practical experience in areas such as HealthTech, MedTech or E-Health – ideally combined with in-depth knowledge of the Swiss health system or the health insurance industry.
• In financial analysis, company valuation, term sheets and deal structuring, you move safely.
• You quickly recognize the strategic relevance of innovations for health insurance and for the Swiss health system and know how to tap into these potentials via a corporate venture fund together with internal specialist areas.
• You have a university or FH degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, medicine, health economics or computer science
• An MBA or a doctorate is beneficial.
• With strong entrepreneurial thinking, high implementation strength and strong communication and stakeholder management competence, you convince founding teams, experts, management and board of directors.
• In German and English you express yourself very confidently orally and in writing
• French is a plus.
