Data is a central component of modern financial controlling. In CSS’s financial and group controlling, we lay the foundations for well-founded decisions and continuously develop our reporting and data landscape. In this newly created position, you combine classic financial controlling with your enthusiasm for data, modern BI solutions and efficient processes. You will help to further develop Excel-based processes, modernize data processes and actively shape the path of CSS towards a data-driven company. You can expect varied tasks, a lot of creative leeway and close cooperation with different specialist areas as well as data engineers. When do we meet?

This is what your everyday life looks like

• At the heart of it: You develop data processes and reporting solutions in financial and group controlling. You bring your own ideas and implement them together with the team.
• You stay close to the financial business and support with projections, budgeting, annual accounts, management and supervisory reporting as well as in the premium process.
• In Power BI, you develop powerful dashboards and reports – from data preparation and modeling to Power Query and DAX.
• For processes that are currently based on Excel, you develop modern solutions and accompany their implementation, testing and introduction.
• Together with Data Engineers, you develop data products for financial controlling and further expand the use of data bricks.
• With your technical and analytical expertise, you strengthen data quality, data modeling and data governance and make complex relationships in the team understandable.

You bring that with you

• First things first: You understand how data and data models become reliable reporting and like to develop solutions for practice.
• You have studied business informatics or computer science and bring in-depth knowledge in business and controlling. A business background with further training in data, BI and computer science is also welcome.
• Financial accounting and accounting are familiar to you. Knowledge in the health or life insurance business as well as in insurance controlling are a plus.
• When dealing with SQL, you are safe and have experience with Power BI. Ideally, you’ll also be familiar with data modeling, Power Query, and DAX.
• You want to further develop existing processes with modern tools. Sophisticated Excel evaluations are initially still part of your everyday work. Initial experience with data bricks, ETL processes or data pipelines is a great advantage.
• An analytical and structured way of working distinguishes you. You can explain complex topics clearly and express yourself very well in German in writing and orally.
