Future employer
For our client, an established IT service provider (Managed Services Provider) with prominent corporate customers in Central Switzerland, we are looking for additional support. The company plans, builds and operates IT infrastructure solutions ranging from basic infrastructure through networking and security to the modern workplace, on-premises, in the Microsoft Cloud or in its own data center.
This job advertisement is aimed at professionals who work or have worked for an IT service provider, systems house or MSP. You know the day-to-day reality of customers, changing environments and working in projects and operations.

Your responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve security incidents
Alerts from the SOC end up with you. You check whether a real attack is behind an anomaly, involve the affected accounts and systems, and help contain and properly remediate an incident. You record your findings in writing and explain to customers in clear language what happened and what comes next.
- Help shape security projects for customers
You accompany initiatives from clarifying requirements to handover: build protection mechanisms and systems, test them in practice, document them and sign them off together with the customer. The environment ranges from traditional server environments through hybrid setups to pure cloud.
- Manage vulnerabilities
Scan results interest you not merely as a list. You classify them, decide together with customers what should be addressed first, and ensure that gaps, weak configurations and excessive access rights actually disappear. Afterwards, you check whether the measure is effective.
- Manage the security platform
You keep our own security platform running. If data is missing or an analysis seems implausible, you look for the cause and pass ideas for improvement on to development.
- Continuously refine detection
Together with the team, you build and test detection rules, clean up false alarms, write investigation steps into the playbooks and replace manual work with scripts and automation.

Questions about this listing
What salary does yellowshark AG offer for this role?
The original listing does not state a salary. Our estimate for this role and sector in Luzern is CHF 78'500 - 119'000 gross per year — an estimate, not a figure communicated by yellowshark AG. The calculator on this site converts a gross salary into your actual net take-home once cross-border tax and social contributions are applied.
Is this a full-time role, and what type of contract does yellowshark AG offer?
The original posting does not state the contract type or the working hours. Ask yellowshark AG about hours, contract duration, notice period and probation during the application process.
Do I need a cross-border work permit for a role in Lucerne?
EU/EFTA citizens living in an EU/EFTA state can apply for a G permit and can work anywhere in Switzerland: border zones no longer apply to them, and they must return home at least once a week. The Swiss employer files the request with Canton Lucerne's migration office after the contract is signed. Processing times vary by canton, so confirm the specifics with Lucerne's cantonal migration office or with HR during the application.
