Role overview
Mission The National Research Centre "CNCR Separation" is a national Swiss project financed mainly by the Swiss National Fund.
It brings together many high-level researchers from across the country and aims to develop new techniques in separation science and to accelerate technology transfer in order to achieve Switzerland's sustainable development goals and accelerate progress towards global climate neutrality.
The EPFL, which is responsible for managing this project, is looking for an administrative and financial manager to manage financial operations.

- Participate in budget development, monitoring and piloting in close collaboration with NCCR management and Program Managers.
- Ensure budgetary monitoring of the various partner institutions and prepare internal and external financial reports.
- Manage the collection, audit, reimbursement and accounting of project expenditures in collaboration with all partners.
- Collect, monitor and maintain the financial data required for interim and final reports to the Swiss National Fund (NSF) via the reporting portal.
- Prepare, coordinate and monitor NSF financial audits.
- Collaborate with EPFL central services and consortium partners on all financial and administrative issues. Administration and coordination
Company and context
- Provide administrative support to the NCCR, including the organization of meetings, preparation of agendas and minutes, management of mailing lists and monitoring of documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the management team (Program Manager, Communication Officer, KTT Officer, Data Manager, Scientific Officer) as required.
- Participate in recruitment procedures and ensure administrative follow-up of human resources (publication of offers, onboarding, offboarding, accreditations, follow-up of absences) in coordination with relevant HR services.
- Coordinate the logistical organization of NCCR events (workshops, trainings, retreats, meetings, general meetings and scientific events).
- Support the organization of travel, visits, scientific stays, exchange programmes, scholarships and secondments of NCCR members.
- Contribute to the cross-cutting tasks of the ECO unit and participate, as required, in EPFL cross-cutting projects. Profile
- Training in accounting, finance, management or business training supplemented by several years of experience in a similar function.
- Confirmed experience in the financial and administrative management of scientific projects or projects of comparable size.
- An experience in fiduciary or audit is an asset.
- Excellent mastery of French and English, both oral and written.
