Role overview
Within the Directorate-General for the Environment (DGE), the Forest Division (DGE-FORÊT) is responsible for the conservation, sustainable management and recovery of Vaudian forests.
It works to preserve biodiversity, protect against natural hazards, produce sustainable wood and maintain forest infrastructure, while ensuring public acceptance and implementation of cantonal forestry policy.
Under the direction of the forest guards and foremans, carry out the maintenance of the cantonal forests of the 2nd arrondissement located on the communes of Aigle, Ollon, Gryon, Bex and Lavey-Morcles, so that they can carry out their functions, in particular economic (wood production), protective (natural hazards), environmental (biodiversity and landscape) and social (accommodation).
