Role overview
As Ward Manager of the Acute Care Unit, you are responsible for professional and personnel leadership and actively work within your team.
You support staff in ensuring smooth daily operations and in providing nursing care in the acute care setting.
As a regional hospital/acute care hospital with emergency services, nursing home and home care (Spitex), we are responsible for the basic medical care of the Davos population and visitors.
- As Ward Manager of the Acute Care Unit, you are responsible for professional and personnel leadership and actively work within your team.
- You support staff in ensuring smooth daily operations and in providing nursing care in the acute care setting.
- Comprehensive nursing care for inpatient and outpatient patients
- Planning and documentation of the nursing process in close coordination with qualified nursing staff
- Completed tertiary-level education in nursing and several years of professional experience in an acute care hospital
- Proven leadership experience or willingness to complete relevant further training
Main responsibilities
- Comprehensive nursing care for inpatient and outpatient patients
- Planning and documentation of the nursing process in close coordination with qualified nursing staff
- Planning, coordination and supervision of nursing care in collaboration with medical staff and interdisciplinary services
- Responsibility for leadership, deployment and development of directly subordinate staff
- Conduct regular performance appraisal interviews
- Support and advise the nursing team in complex care situations
- Ensure high nursing quality and continuous optimization of work processes
- Responsibility for the cost center of the Acute Care Unit
- Regular participation in nursing management meetings Requirements
- Completed tertiary-level education in nursing and several years of professional experience in an acute care hospital
