Role overview
The cantonal social services department performs the task of personal social and addiction assistance on behalf of the municipalities and supports people in the development of economic social assistance.
It leads eight regional social services in the canton.
The regional social service Chur/Plessur/Imboden is responsible for 10 municipalities with a catchment area of 67 000 persons.

Main responsibilities
- Solution and resource-oriented social counselling for individuals and families
- development of social security services and economic welfare assistance
- advice for recognised and provisionally admitted refugees and foreigners on linguistic, professional and social integration
- cooperation with social authorities and specialized centres
- other varied, interesting and responsible activities
Key requirements
- completed training as a social worker/in BSc/FH or a degree in a comparable training
- Enjoying working with people with different social and/or cultural backgrounds
- High level of consulting expertise and sound expertise in social assistance law and social security
- High level of contact, resilient, capable of teamwork, good communication, organisational and administrative skills
- Ideally good knowledge of foreign languages
