  • First Aid and Rescue Service: Emergency intervention in case of accidents on the ski demanio, medical stabilization of the patient on the spot, safe transport of the wounded downstream via toboga or snowmobile and technical coordination of rescues with the elixoccorso partners (e.g. Rega).
  • Valanghe and Security Service: Active collaboration with the company avalanche committee, snow mantle profile monitoring and active participation in preventive artificial detachment operations of avalanches through explosives or fixed systems.
  • Legal accident reports: Detailed and rigorous drafting of Swiss official accident records for the collection of evidence in the event of legal disputes.
  • Closing service: Inspection and final control of all tracks at the end of the day of exercise to ensure the total absence of users on the ski demanio before the night beat.

Required Requirements (Switzerland Regulation)

  • Certificate of Relief / First Aid in progress (e.g. BLS-AED certification or higher recognised by IRC/IAS).
  • Ski Skiing certified: Excellent level in alpine skiing or snowboarding (capacity to conduct safely in any nivological and slope condition, even when transporting heavy equipment or toboga with wounded on board).
  • Psychophysical fitness: Perfect medical fitness for high-mountain work in extreme winter weather conditions, marked psychological balance for stress management during critical first aid interventions.
  • Flexibility and Turns (LDL): Absolute availability to work on weekends and holidays of the winter season. The programming of working hours fully respects the Federal Law on the duration of work (LDL).
  • Language skills: Excellent knowledge of the Italian language (official language of radio and exercise coordination). German knowledge is considered an important plus for safety and communication with customers.

Questions about this listing

What salary does San Bernardino Mountain Leisure SA offer for this role?

The original listing does not state a salary. Our estimate for this role and sector in Chur is CHF 57'500 - 87'000 gross per year — an estimate, not a figure communicated by San Bernardino Mountain Leisure SA. The calculator on this site converts a gross salary into your actual net take-home once cross-border tax and social contributions are applied.

Is this a full-time role, and what type of contract does San Bernardino Mountain Leisure SA offer?

This listing is a full-time position. The contract type shown here comes directly from the employer's original posting; always confirm exact hours, notice period and probation length with San Bernardino Mountain Leisure SA during the application process, since these details can vary by role even within the same contract category.

Do I need a cross-border work permit for a role in Graubünden?

EU/EFTA citizens living in an EU/EFTA state can apply for a G permit and can work anywhere in Switzerland: border zones no longer apply to them, and they must return home at least once a week. The Swiss employer files the request with Canton Graubünden's migration office after the contract is signed. Processing times vary by canton, so confirm the specifics with Graubünden's cantonal migration office or with HR during the application.
