Main responsibilities
- First-level support and Help Desk including receipt, prioritization, analysis and processing of IT requests and escalation of more complex faults
- Advice and support of employees in questions concerning ICT-Services and workplace systems
- Installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of Windows clients, notebooks, printers, peripherals and network devices
- Administration of selected Windows servers, services, Active Directory and basic network services such as DNS, DHCP and TP/IP
- Work with patch and update management, especially with WSUS, as well as monitoring data backup and support in recovery
- Technical support of laboratory workstations, control systems and other institute-specific IT systems
- Support for removals, commissioning and the transfer of new or modified hardware and software into operation
- Participation in IT projects and in the introduction and further development of ICT systems
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, inventory and user instructions and conducting user training
- Support for procurement and management of IT hardware, software and consumables
