Role overview

To allow family caregivers a period of rest, the ARUs offer AVS-age clients short stays and provide services in continuity with those provided at home.

Client care and support adapt to their physical and mental health.

The nurse works in interdisciplinarity on the site of Mervelet (Petit-Saconnex), respecting the mission and objectives of the institution and may be required to intervene on an ad hoc basis on the site of Villereuse as well as the Twins.

Main responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, preventive, curative, educational and palliative personalized nursing services to AVS-age clients independently and/or on medical delegation
  • Perform a situational reference role, on a daily basis, in order to adjust the care of the client according to his needs and acting in accordance with the principles of the professional code of ethics nurse
  • Organize medical and social approaches, coordination and collaboration with all stakeholders in a given client situation by mobilizing all available resources (both primary and professional)
  • Work closely with ASSCs and caregivers by delegating care from their area of expertise
  • Ensure written and oral transmission of information about accompanied clients to allow for follow-up and continuity in customer care
  • Participate in training and research activities within the framework of the objectives defined by the Directorate of Professional Practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent training, authorization of practice in the canton
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in the geriatric community Knowledge of the Geneva care network Desired psycho-geriatric experience
  • Ability to work independently and as an interdisciplinary team Excellent adaptability and delegation
