Role overview

We are looking for a motivated Associate Scientist / Senior Laboratory Specialist who will join our Pilot Plant Bern team.

In this role, you take on a central, practice-oriented function in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of pilot plant activities.

The focus is on the independent operation, cleaning and support of process plants as well as the reliable documentation and support of development, transfer and lifecycle management activities.

Key requirements

  • Completed laboratory training, bachelor's degree or comparable training in a relevant scientific, technical, pharmaceutical, chemical or food technology field.
  • Alternatively, relevant practical experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, food or technical production environment.
  • Strong hands-on focus and enjoyment of practical work with process plants, equipment and technical systems.
  • Experience or interest in method adaptations, recipe/method programming and technical parameterization of process plants, in particular chromatography and ultra-diafiltration plants, is advantageous.
  • Experience in cleanroom environments, in particular cleanroom class D, is advantageous.
  • Experience with cleaning, plant preparation, documentation and SAP-supported maintenance or notification processes is an advantage.
  • Understanding good documentation practice as well as careful, comprehensible and structured working methods.
  • High self-motivation, sense of responsibility and solution-oriented work.
  • Teamwork and ability to perform tasks independently and reliably.
  • Adaptability, organisational capacity and readiness to flexibly support changing project and campaign requirements. Good German
