Your Mission

The Young Adults Unit provides individual support to migrants between the ages of 18 and 25 with a view to their social and professional integration within the Geneva community in partnership with internal and external actors.

In your role as manager, you inspire, federate, lead and join teams around a shared vision and goals related to the institutional strategy.

Key requirements

  • Dynamic and flexible personality, ease in human contacts, open, good analytical spirit, interest in social work in a complex environment, ability to adopt a broad vision, sense of diplomacy and good capacity for innovation;
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the General Hospital;
  • University education (minimum Bachelor's degree) or HES or equivalent recognized training;

  • Administrative rigor and common use of common computer tools; Project management methodology, an asset;

Company and context

  • In order to cope with a complex environment, you anticipate and accompany change by designing and co-building an effective and innovative agile organization that can adapt to the needs of the context and the beneficiaries. Your main activities As head, you ensure that your unit:
  • Develops individual support for young adults leading them to autonomy by defining a life project giving them the opportunity to integrate professionally;
  • Co-defining with the Service d'intégration professionnelle (SIP) the follow-up of the course of training and integration of young adults and ensuring good collaboration between the various professions;
  • Collaborates with the Department of Public Education (DIP – and in particular with Access, OFPC) on issues relating to the training of young adults;
  • Coordinates with the units of the service in charge of educational supervision in the places of life as well as with the reception service and living together, in order to ensure close monitoring;
  • Ensures collaboration with the Interinstitutional Collaboration Unit (ICU) in relation to specific social inclusion;
  • Ensures that all collaborations and individual support projects are part of the cantonal integration concept and the Swiss integration agenda (AIS). As a unit manager, you:
  • Participate in coordinations, platforms and other network meetings related to the specificity of this population;
  • Guarantee the proper articulation of social and educational actions initiated by your team with the internal social and educational partners;
  • Ensure, in partnership with the Young Adults Unit 1, the coherence of care and individual support offered to young people;
