Description
It is a university-hospitalized post of head doctor or head of the Cardiology Service, including a fraction of a faculty position. This post is attached to the Hospital and Academic Departments of Medicine.
The candidate must have extensive clinical experience in cardiology, as well as recognized managerial, communication and leadership qualities, to lead a large, active university clinical service recognized as a centre of excellence in Switzerland. Through its work, the candidate will supervise, organize and develop the activity within its department, which consists of four sectors of activity, a hospitalisation sector, an interventional cardiology sector, an outpatient sector and a radiological examination sector (ethography and PET-scan). He or she will have to maintain and strengthen existing relations with the other services of the HUG, with the Diagnostic Department for Cardiovascular Imaging, and will also have to maintain and develop strong links with clinics and peripheral hospitals.
The ability to conduct high-level research in the field of cardiology is required, as well as recognized skills in mentoring, team management and teaching at the pre- and post-grade levels.
