Particularly well-known for its rapid diagnostic approach and quality of care, the internal medicine department has a central role in our institution. Its mission is to receive patients without diagnosis, often referred by the emergency department.

In the context of the development of new lines of care, particularly in geriatrics and palliative care, our service is called upon to evolve and strengthen its skills in the care of elderly, poly morbid patients with complex care situations.

To complete our service we recruit one

Day Nurse in Medicine - CDM 6 months at 60% (ref: 2013)

Your mission

In a state-of-the-art facility you hold a varied position on a multidisciplinary team of nurses, health care workers, doctors.

You will need to accommodate patients with multiple pathologies as part of a comprehensive acute phase of care.

As such you are in charge of;

• Install the patient and present the administrative and care information
• Collect and transmit medical and administrative data and complete the computerized care file
• Provide and organize care planning according to priorities and urgency
• Perform care on medical prescription and in accordance with unit and institutional procedures
• Maintaining the Informatized Patient Record
• Continuously assess the patient's clinical condition and its evolution in acute conditions
• Identify situations of fragility, loss of autonomy and complexity requiring an interdisciplinary approach;
• Take part in the management of elderly and polymorphic patients, as well as in the support of patients and their relatives in palliative situations;
• Collaborate with the various stakeholders to ensure continuity and coordination of care;
• Ensure inter-service coordination for patient movement management
• Coordinate inputs and outputs: internal mutations, external patient transfers in collaboration with the health framework.

We are looking for a profile that meets the following criteria:

• Diploma of Nurse
• In possession of Red Cross recognition if foreign diploma
• Having experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, palliative care or a complex area of care, an asset;
• Having a strong interest in the management of elderly, polymorphic and/or palliative patients;
• Sensitive to the patient's holistic and interdisciplinary approach;
• Meaning of contact and service in a private establishment
• Self-governing, benevolence, versatility, adaptability, organization and focus are essential qualities
• Positive attitude within a team and are able to generate a climate of trust
• Able to help build confidence with patients, their loved ones and different professionals.
