Role overview

As part of your duties, you play a central role in supporting and coordinating the Centre's activities, including scientific events, research collaborations and funding research.

Application process

  • You are actively contributing to the evolution of the CMVE towards a more visible and strategically positioned entity, by participating in the preparation of information and presentation materials, in the development of grant applications and in the enhancement of the Centre's activities, including through its website and various communication channels.
  • You identify funding opportunities, whether they take the form of grants, industrial partnerships or philanthropic initiatives, and you coordinate the preparation of the corresponding application files.
  • You establish and maintain strategic partnerships with public, private and institutional actors active in the areas of infectious diseases, vaccineology and epidemic preparedness.
  • You contribute to enhancing the visibility of the CMVE at the local, national and international levels, in particular through the development of the website and the facilitation of the Centre's communication networks.
  • You design and coordinate scientific communication activities such as events, seminars, conferences, annual reports and institutional content.
  • You are actively involved in promoting the Centre's role in the areas of epidemic preparedness, translational research, innovation and the development of solutions to public health issues.

Company and context

  • Through your work, you strengthen the Centre's organizational structure, coordination capacity and development with its partners and stakeholders.
  • You are contributing to the definition and implementation of the AEC's strategic vision in the medium and long term.
  • You support fundraising activities and initiatives to enhance the Centre's visibility.
  • You ensure effective coordination between research teams, the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG), the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and external partners.
  • You are involved in strengthening the internal organisation and in facilitating the smooth functioning of the Centre's activities.
  • You also support the preparation and organisation of the scientific and institutional events of the CMVE.
  • You facilitate the development, planning and monitoring of research projects within the Centre or in collaboration with external partners.
  • You ensure a smooth and efficient flow of scientific and administrative information between research teams, platforms, clinical units and institutional partners.
  • You support the preparation and submission of research proposals as well as the organization of scientific events, in particular to national and international funding bodies.
  • You are developing and implementing, in collaboration with the HUGs, UNIGE and partner foundations, a fundraising strategy to support the Centre's ambitions.
