Your Mission

Under the responsibility of the Director of Finance, you ensure the operational, human and strategic conduct of the accounting department. You are the guarantor of the quality, compliance and reliability of accounting data and actively participate in the transformation of the financial processes of the General Hospital. Oriented by optimization, you will be the guarantor of a clear and shared vision. Your main activities

• Pilot, organize and supervise the accounting service (25 people) ensuring a collaborative working environment and evolving skills.
• Ensure the production of annual accounts according to current standards (IPSA accounting standards).
• Supervise all accounting operations: general accounts, suppliers, debtors, user benefits, capital assets, cash.
• Organize financial processes in accordance with the strategy, objectives of the institution and legal framework (general accounting standards, cantonal laws and regulations).
• Pilot projects to develop the accounting framework (standards, procedures, tools) and coordinate with transversal actors.
• Actively participate in financial management transformation and process optimization.
• Work closely with other departments of the Finance Directorate (management control, procurement, etc.).
• Ensuring the smooth conduct of the annual audit of the accounts, in collaboration with external auditors
• To be a key interlocutor for internal and external supervisory bodies, the Department of Social Cohesion, the Directorate of State Finance
• Participate in cross-cutting projects as a representative of the Finance Directorate

Training & Experience

• Higher degree in accounting/finance (expert-accounting type, federal degree or university equivalent).
• Experience confirmed in a similar function with large team management.
• Good knowledge of IPSAS (or IFRS).
• Experience in a public or community environment, an asset.

• Experience in managing change and conducting transformation or regulatory projects
• Excellent communication skills, clarity and pedagogy.
• Mastery of accounting and reporting IT tools. Knowledge of Oracle ERP an asset
