MAIN ACTIVITY OF THE POST

The nurse/hygienist plays a crucial role in preventing infections and improving the quality of care in our Hirslanden Geneva health facilities. You will work in collaboration with the HPCI nurse at the Clinique La Colline, so you will have to travel to our campus.

MAIN TASKS

Infection Prevention

Collaborate in the implementation of measures relating to hospital hygiene and the control of infections associated with care.

Follow the annual infection control programme and related action plans.

Training and Awareness

To be responsible for training health professionals on good hygiene practices and raising awareness among employees and partners. This includes initial and continuing training sessions with teams.

Epidemiology Watch

Participate in epidemiological surveillance, particularly with respect to multi-resistant bacteria, and contribute to the development of recommendations on the organization of care channels.

Audit and Oversight

Conduct regular audits in the various units of the clinic to ensure compliance with standards and good hygiene practices and prepare progress reports on observed practices.

Ensure data collection and monitoring of national registries.

Interdisciplinary collaboration

Be in close collaboration with other health professionals, the quality service, the head of clinical services, the referring infectious physician for the campus, the head of hygiene of the Hirslanden group, the DGS and participate in risk management bodies within the institution.

Organize hygiene committees.

YOUR PROFILE

• Holder of a HES nursing degree or deemed equivalent recognised by the Red Cross
• Holder of a right of practice in the Canton of Geneva
• Graduated in hospital hygiene and infections
• Prior experience in a similar position
• Excellent command of the French language
• Educational qualities
• Spirit of analysis
• Autonomy
