Requirements
- Completed training in surgical assistant with surgical experience or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in the field of operations
- Sound experience in neurosurgery
- Ideally practical experience in functional neurosurgery
- Experience with DBS, stereotactic methods and/or implantation methods of great advantage
- Very good knowledge of sterile procedure and surgical hygiene
- Safe handling of neurosurgical instruments and technical surgical equipment
- High degree of precision, responsibility and ability to concentrate
- Ability to work calmly and structured even during demanding and prolonged procedures
- Strong team skills and professional communication with doctors, nurses and other disciplines are particularly important: For this position, we are looking for an experienced OTA with in-depth neurosurgical experience. Expertise in functional neurosurgery is particularly welcome, especially in DBS implantation and stereotactic procedures, a high degree of teamwork, pleasure in setting up a new operation, taking responsibility and the ability to think creatively outside the box.
