You do not want to limit yourself radiologically to one modality, but find everything and still maintain your very personal area of expertise? And how about if your work path leads past mountain peaks and lake banks instead of through the traffic jam? A regional hospital center in the Bernese Oberland is looking for a specialist who wants to get involved and live in one of the most beautiful regions in Switzerland. Do you have questions? Just write to me via WhatsApp: +41 31 310 98 74, or by e-mail to [email protected]. Behind this position is a hospital group with more than 1,600 employees, which takes care of an entire mountain region, from emergency rescue to inpatient treatment. In radiology, more than 50,000 examinations come together every year, from children to the elderly. Among other things, they have a 3-Tesla and a 1.5-Tesla MRI as well as two CT devices, supplemented by sonography, mammography, fluoroscopy and conventional X-ray. The workflow is continuously paperless, dictated by speech recognition. The house is manageable, you know each other, and the way to the clinical colleagues is short. You can start immediately or by agreement.
Their tasks
- From sonography to 3-Tesla MRI: You investigate and find yourself responsible in all modalities
- You select an area that is particularly interesting to you, such as tumor diagnostics or image-guided interventions, and expand it in a targeted manner
- They are in daily exchange with the clinical teams and the referees from the region
- You contribute your own ideas if the institute expands its offer or improves processes
Your Competences
- Radiology from Germany or another EU country (we support you in the recognition)
- They feel equally comfortable in sectional diagnostics, sonography and projection radiology
- You have a professional area of interest that you want to deepen
- Previous experience in interventions or oncological imaging is welcome
- Even on intense days, keep an overview and tackle where you need it
- They like to work hand in hand with the MTR team, the nursing and the medical profession
Their advantages
- Your own focus: In addition to broad diagnostics, there is room for a special field that you choose yourself
- Conditions according to measure: Your contract is individually agreed with you and does not depend rigidly on a pay table
- Pensum that suits you: Whether 80, 90 or 100%, you decide; even a longer time-out than unpaid leave can be arranged
- A welcome culture that you can feel: All professional groups meet here warmly and uncomplicatedly, and newcomers are part of the team from day one
- Leisure time as in the brochure: in summer hiking, biking or swimming, in winter skiing and skiing, and by train you are still fast in Bern or Zurich
- Personal accompaniment by Medimeo: We are at your side from the first contact to the recognition of your title and the approvals until the contract discussion and your start in Switzerland

Questions about this listing
What salary does Medimeo AG offer for this role?
The original listing does not state a salary. Our estimate for this role and sector in Bern is CHF 68'500 - 104'000 gross per year — an estimate, not a figure communicated by Medimeo AG. The calculator on this site converts a gross salary into your actual net take-home once cross-border tax and social contributions are applied.
Is this a full-time role, and what type of contract does Medimeo AG offer?
The original posting does not state the contract type or the working hours. Ask Medimeo AG about hours, contract duration, notice period and probation during the application process.
Do I need a cross-border work permit for a role in Bern?
EU/EFTA citizens living in an EU/EFTA state can apply for a G permit and can work anywhere in Switzerland: border zones no longer apply to them, and they must return home at least once a week. The Swiss employer files the request with Canton Bern's migration office after the contract is signed. Processing times vary by canton, so confirm the specifics with Bern's cantonal migration office or with HR during the application.
How do I apply for this position at Medimeo AG?
