The University Hospital for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy stands for high-quality care, research and further education. Our station for neuropsychiatry and interventional psychiatry at Murtenstrasse 21 is specialized in the treatment of affective disorders and catatonic syndromes and represents an important interface with the neuropsychiatry and neurology of Inselspital. In the field of interventional psychiatry, we offer stimulation treatments, including rTMS, ketamine, ECT and DBS. In your function as a senior physician, you help shape innovative treatment concepts, are part of an interdisciplinary team and drive the further development of modern therapeutic approaches. We offer you a dynamic university environment with excellent research and training opportunities as well as the opportunity to actively participate at the interface between clinic and science. As a recognized further education institution, the University Hospital for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy has the opportunity to obtain the certificate of ability for interventional psychiatry (SGIP).
Their tasks
- You work inpatiently on a ward with a focus on neuropsychiatry and are responsible for the diagnosis, therapy planning and implementation of psychiatric treatments in close interdisciplinary cooperation with our team
- Supervision and further training of assistant doctors
- Participation in the further development of clinical concepts in close cooperation with a committed, multi-professional team is another part of this interesting task
- You participate in the senior medical background service of the clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy
- Specialist psychiatry and psychotherapy
- They are actively involved in education and training for psychiatry at the University of Bern as well as candidates for the specialist title of psychiatry and psychotherapy.
- They support ongoing projects in research and can develop their own projects within the framework of the clinic's research concept if they are interested.
